Status: Actively Raising Funds
Why adoption? Adoption was laid heavily our heart since before we were married. It was always something that we thought would happen. We got married in 2010, started our family, but always had adoption on our mind. After three beautiful children; Parker, Lila, & Reese, now is the time! We are so excited to be on this journey (and lets face it a little scared). We are also incredibly honored that you want to share in our story with us. After 15 years, it’s time to say “yes!”
Simply put, we want to replicate the Gospel – to seek out and choose to love precious children; to be their forever family. This is what God did for us. We only know love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).We want our lives to mirror that and testify to what He has done for us. God is good, y’all.
We would be lying if we said we were not a little intimidated in asking our family and friends to come alongside us financially in order to bring these children home. The simple truth is that we cannot do this on our own – we need our village! Rest assured though, we are saving independently, having yard sales, making t-shirts, and selling our “unneeded” stuff too. We cannot express how blessed we are to call you “friend” and when you think about us, say a little prayer that we would be faithful servants of God during this process. We are SO close to our goal to be fully funded! Just a few months ago, we had little faith. “God, how will we fund an adoption?” we would ask. And we would keep getting reminded “Be faithful. Be faithful.” And we are only $12,000 short.
Here’s the deal. We are asking you to pray. Pray for the precious children that are waiting for a forever family. Pray they feel peace, comforted, and loved. Pray for us, that we would love them well. And pray that this last bit of money would come so that we can have no barriers to us yelling “YES!!!!” from the rooftops.
Thank you so much! We are just so so grateful for Raise the Dough and passion they have to care for families and vulnerable children around the world.
